Scott Jurek and ChiRunning

I came across this video showing good trail running form. His recommendations align with some of the key forms I have been practicing from ChiRunning, specifically keeping the spine tall, maintaining a neutral pelvis, and falling forward from the heels.

Thoughts?

  1. Nice find! Hey Tom, have you read "Born To Run" yet?

  2. I didn't "read" Born To Run but instead listened to it on my Blackberry while running! Loved the book, great writer. But to be honest, I didn't learn much that I could apply to my running. By far, the book that helped my running the most was ChiRunning. By changing my running form to align with what is taught in ChiRunning I have totally eliminated my calf muscle injury problems. Highly recommended!
